You could Indexbitsay that Sam Asghari's love life is pretty ruff these days.
After all, the Jackpot! actor joked that he only has time for his dog Porsha, who he adopted with Britney Spears in 2021 before their 14-month marriage came to an end last year.
"I'm dating someone as we speak," Sam exclusively quipped to E! News at the Los Angeles premiere of his new movie Aug. 13. "She’s very high maintenance. I just did her nails, took her to the dog park."
The 30-year-old added that he gives the Doberman "a lot of treats as well," though he doesn't spoil her as much as he does with his mom Fatima Asghari.
"I did miss a lot of time with my mother," Sam shared, explaining how distance previously kept them apart when he moved from Iran to the United States, "and we reunited around three years ago." (For more from Sam's interview, tune into E! News tonight, Aug. 14, at 11 p.m.)
In fact, Sam brought Fatima as his plus-one to the red carpet event, which was also attended by his Jackpot! costars Awkwafina, John Cena and Simu Liu ahead of the movie’s debut on Prime Video Aug. 15.
"This is something new to her," he noted, "so I wanted to show her my world."
Jackpot! centers around a struggling actress (Awkwafina) who wins the lottery, only to find herself the target in a statewide manhunt for her prize money.
But for Sam, he doesn't need to hit the jackpot to feel lucky.
"I already won the lottery in life," he told E! News, "which is coming to America and having this amazing opportunity."
